The platform features a summary page that allows users to organize nutritional values based on their preferences, whether it be by vitamin content, mineral composition, or other criteria. This functionality enables users to identify foods that may address specific nutrient deficiencies.
Users have the convenience of searching for foods by category, with individual buttons providing direct access. The search function can be applied universally or refined within specific food categories. Upon selecting a food item, detailed nutrition facts are displayed, facilitating the calculation of various values based on user-specified quantities entered at the top of the page.
Glyx includes a wide range of supported nutrients such as energy, proteins, carbohydrates, vitamins (A, B1, B2, B3, B5, B9, B12, D, E), minerals (sodium, potassium, calcium), and many more critical components necessary for maintaining a balanced diet.
The app is currently accessible in four languages: English, German, French, and Italian. It accommodates both metric and imperial measurement units for user convenience.
Upcoming features planned for future versions include the ability to create complete meal compositions from various food items, share personal menus with other users, rate and rank menus, search for foods based on ingredients and nutritional values, calculate nutritional data for complete meals, and directly compare different food items.
